Roles and Responsibilities

Associate & Senior Associate

Associates learn fundamental skills by driving the daily investment research process and building, honing and incorporating data into financial models. They also learn how to generate investment ideas.

Analyst/Desk Strategist

Analysts generate investment ideas through deep industry, sector and company research. They work closely with portfolio managers to develop and implement these ideas. Many of our analysts actively deploy capital or assist in portfolio construction.

Portfolio Manager

Portfolio managers are the architects of their team’s portfolio, monitoring, managing and overseeing deployment of capital. They make critical decisions supported by skill, research and strategy. They also manage their team, developing new talent and optimizing performance.

Trader

Citadel traders use best-in-class technology to execute investment ideas efficiently, leveraging up-to-the-minute market knowledge and industry domain expertise. On the Global Quantitative Research team, traders execute our quantitative trading strategies.
